Answers To Your Questions

Turtle Divers
Prior to engaging in scuba diving activities, participants are required to complete a medical questionnaire to assess their fitness for diving. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or are taking medications, it's crucial to inform your diving instructor. In some cases, a medical certificate from a qualified physician may be necessary to ensure your safety underwater. PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, provides a standard medical questionnaire that can help determine if there are any health concerns that may affect your ability to dive.
Always prioritise safety and honesty when assessing your medical fitness for scuba diving.
While being comfortable in the water is important for scuba diving, you don't necessarily need to be an expert swimmer. PADI Open Water Diver courses typically require participants to demonstrate basic swimming skills, such as floating and treading water, and to complete a swim of around 200 meters (or 600 feet). These requirements ensure that you have the essential water skills needed for your safety.
If you have concerns about your swimming abilities, it's advisable to discuss them with your diving instructor.
We are fully equipped to provide all the necessary scuba diving gear for your diving courses. This includes a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), wetsuit, and tanks. We understand that having the right equipment is crucial for a positive diving experience.
The beginner diving course, (PADI Open Water Diver), typically takes 3 days. Day 1 involves confined dives (pool dives), and Days 2 and 3 are dedicated to open water dives. Participants complete any required e-learning in their own time before the course begins.
Safety is our top priority at Turtle Divers. In instances of unfavourable weather or rough sea conditions, we diligently monitor forecasts. If conditions pose a safety concern, we prioritise the well-being of our divers, potentially postponing or rescheduling dives. Koh Tao boasts numerous dive sites, and in most cases, if one site faces adverse conditions, alternative sites offer better options. We are committed to clear communication, providing alternative arrangements or rescheduling options to ensure your safety and a satisfying diving experience.
Our dive school has a cancellation policy in place for diving courses or guided dives. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. If you need to cancel, we appreciate prompt notification.
The specific details of our cancellation policy can vary, so we recommend checking our terms and conditions or contacting us directly for accurate and up-to-date information. We strive to be flexible and understanding while ensuring fairness to all our participants. Your satisfaction and positive experience are important to us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs within the bounds of our policy.
