Meet Turtle Divers

Originally from Cologne, Germany, I've called Thailand home for the past 13 years. As a certified PADI diving instructor, I now lead the team at Koh Tao Turtle Divers on this breathtaking island! In Germany, I ran my own event management business until I made the exciting choice to turn my passion into a profession. And here I am, delighted every day to introduce the world of diving to others with my dedicated team. Living on Koh Tao is a source of great gratitude for me, and my aim is to ensure that your experience here is just as enriching and enjoyable as mine!

Before becoming a diving professional I worked in sea survival, training lifeboat workers and lifeguards around the Uk as well as New Zealand, I feel very fortunate to have worked in that environment as the skill set was easily transferred to the diving industry. Safety is always number one in my eyes but obviously seeing you discover the underwater world having fun is a reward in itself. Diving to me has always been the therapy to the world problems that everyone should experience. Now let's go diving and see fish.

I am a PADI Master Instructor hailing from the UK, and my diving journey began in the breathtaking waters of Mauritius. Now based in Koh Tao, Thailand, I find immense joy in passing on my expertise to aspiring PADI Divemasters, fostering a love for diving in this tropical paradise. Dive into the depths with me, a seasoned PADI Master Instructor originating from the UK. My underwater saga began amidst the vibrant corals of Mauritius, and now, against the backdrop of Koh Tao, Thailand, I immerse enthusiasts in the art of diving, shaping PADI Divemasters amid the azure wonders of the sea. I began my career as a marine archaeologist working on underwater Roman sites and shipwrecks around the Mediterranean. My passion for teaching then led me to become one of the youngest-ever PADI Course Directors. Diving has allowed me to enjoy an incredible career for over a decade now across four continents. I have now settled permanently on Koh Tao as there is no better place for my candidates to find opportunities and succeed immediately upon finishing their training. It is truly the centre of diving globally with more knowledge and experience concentrated in one location than anywhere else above or below water.

In 2013, I took my first dive and instantly fell for the underwater world. Despite intending just open water sessions, I was sold after the initial pool experience, telling my travelling companion I wanted to stay on the island to dive full-time. Fast forward 10 years, and I'm still diving and loving it. Teaching newcomers gives me an incredible energy boost, especially on the best island of Thailand, Koh Tao, where I feel most at home. My favourite aquatic life? The fascinating goby fish and pistol shrimp.
